Job Title: Network Architect Location : Remote Contract: Long term Required Skills and Qualifications: Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in network architecture or related roles within the networking industry. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with network technologies such as routing, switching, SD-WAN, network security, data center solutions, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). In-depth understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, QoS) and their application in enterprise environments. Expertise in network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPN, and NAC (Network Access Control). Experience with SDN (Software-Defined Networking), cloud-based networking, and hybrid IT infrastructures. Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations, network design diagrams, and proposal documents that clearly explain technical solutions to clients and internal stakeholders. Hands-on experience with network performance and monitoring tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetFlow, or similar. Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to translate client business requirements into feasible and effective network solutions. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess client needs and design effective solutions. Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are highly preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud architectures. Familiarity with 5G and IoT networking. Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python). Experience with network orchestration and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, NFV). Knowledge of emerging trends in edge computing and software-defined WAN (SD-WAN). Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree or further certifications in network architecture or presales roles is a plus. Relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
