The professional should have 4 years of experience working in this role and come from a programming background. Data Warehousing: Ability to maintain and develop schemas within a data warehouse using Azure Synapse SQL dedicated Pools. Familiar with concepts such as dimensional modeling, star schema, slowly changing dimensions, denormalization. Data Pipelines: Expertise in extracting data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) and transforming it into a usable format for analysis within Power BI using Azure Data Factory Pipelines within Azure Synapse Analytics. Familiar with concepts including change data capture. Power BI: Deep knowledge of Power BI features, including data cleansing, data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization capabilities. SQL Skills: Ability to write complex T-SQL Stored Procedures to extract and manipulate data from databases. Programming Languages: knowledge of one development language like Python, R, Java. Familiarity of maintaining code in GIT and deployment pipelines. Domain Acumen: Understanding business needs and translating them into effective data visualizations and insights. Understanding and experience with Healthcare data a distinct advantage.
