Meaning, they do daily meetings with developers and business owners, create data models and database objects from these discussions for OLTP systems. This means they are creating the database objects for incoming data from an application. Creating Data Models from discussions with the Devs and Business Owners should be their primary job. Essential Responsibilities: Manage and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases for performance and efficiency. Creating Hasura APIs to be used as the DAL. GIT Experience including GIT Actions/Automation Implement and maintain cloud-based database solutions, primarily on AWS. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and functions. Ensure database security Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database technology within our infrastructure. Provide technical support and guidance on database design and architecture. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Database Engineer or a similar role. Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server. Proven experience with AWS cloud services related to database management. In-depth understanding of SQL and database programming. Experience with GIT automation. Experience using Hasura and creating APIs. Experience with database design, tuning, and performance optimization. Familiarity with data security, backup, and recovery methods. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Skills: Certifications in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or AWS. Experience with other database technologies and NoSQL databases. ETL Experience in AWS. Data Migration from on-prem databases to AWS.
