Hi Contract Role: Wireless Networks & Information Security Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite) Rate: 50 JD: 1. Wireless Communication Protocols 802.11 Standards: In-depth knowledge of various 802.11 standards, including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be (Wi-Fi 6/7), 802.11k (Radio Resource Management), 802.11v (Wireless Network Management), 802.11x (Authentication), 802.11r, 802.11s (Mesh Networking) WDS (Wireless Distribution System): Understanding of WDS for extending wireless networks using multiple access points. MAC and PHY Layers: Thorough understanding of the MAC and PHY layers. Packet analysis: In dept understanding of packet flow in a wifi network (probes, beacons, association requests/responses, GI, etc) 2. Testing and Troubleshooting Testing Tools: Proficiency in using testing tools like Wireshark, AirMagnet, Ekahau, and other network analyzers for protocol testing and troubleshooting. Throughput testing: Experience with performing RvO and RvR testing with various topologies. Traffic Generators: Experience with network traffic generators such as iperf, IxChariot, Candela, and netperf for performance testing. 3. Security Protocols WPA/WPA2/WPA3: Understanding of wireless security protocols, including WPA, WPA2, and WPA3, and their implementation in network security. 802.1X Authentication: Skilled in troubleshooting 802.1X authentication mechanisms.. QoS (Quality of Service): Knowledge of QoS/WMMtechniques to prioritize network traffic and ensure optimal performance. 4. Software and Scripting Scripting Languages: Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Perl for automating network testing and management tasks. 5. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnoseissues at a protocol layer. 6. Emerging Technologies Wi-Fi 6/7 (802.11ax/be): Knowledge of Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 features like OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and BSS Coloring, MLO, 320 Mhz IoT Integration: Understanding of IoT devices and their integration into wireless networks.
