Job Title: Automation Developer Location: Remote, OH Duration: 12 months Travel Type: Remote (no expenses) Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years in software test automation, with hands-on experience in at least one automation framework or tool (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestComplete, or other scripting-based frameworks). Programming/Scripting Skills: Proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or Ruby for test script development. Strong Understanding of Test Automation: Experience with test automation principles, methodologies, and best practices for functional, regression, and UI testing. Experience in CI/CD: Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or other CI/CD pipeline tools. Basic Knowledge of Software Testing: Understanding of various types of testing (e.g., functional, smoke, regression, UAT) and a solid grasp of QA methodologies. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to debug and resolve complex issues within test environments and automation scripts. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred (but not Required): Familiarity with Eggplant tools (Eggplant Functional, Eggplant Manager, etc.) or similar UI-based automation tools. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc. Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment. Soft Skills: Strong ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to solving problems. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-based environment. Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
