Job Description

Job Summary:

System Administrator primary responsibility of design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the
Windows Server infrastructure with a focus on operating system integrity, security, and performance. The key duties for this role involve tasks associated with server administration in a highly virtualized environment, perform system maintenance, support, and management of the Windows Server OS throughout the enterprise.

Job Duties:

             Strong understanding of configuring Microsoft
Windows OS technology including
AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units.

             Troubleshoot and resolve
Active Directory, Active Directory Federated Services, and password/identity management systems.

             Assist in management and support of internal and external
DNS systems. Assist in management and support of internal
DHCP architecture and scoping.

             Create and update technical documentation of operating procedures as needed.

             Maintain standards for installation of infrastructure software / hardware installations.

             Experience with Virtual Hypervisors
VMWare and Nutanix

             Serve as a technical expert for Tier 1/2/3 support groups.

             Provide solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement, and conversions. Recommends solutions as appropriate.

             Automation tool experience such as
PowerShell, Ansible, etc

             Provide problem solving leadership based on experience with the technology.

             Review domain level rights and privileges and perform changes to the same as appropriate.

             Collaborate in assessing current and expected Windows infrastructure needs, configuration, maintenance, optimization and documentation of Windows infrastructure.

             Follow and apply configuration and security standards and policies within a defined Change Management process.

             Assist with implementing solutions for hardware and software. Implement common preventive maintenance practices for hardware and software.

             Ensure that system improvements and changes are implemented correctly and completely and monitor all effects of the modifications.

             Establish/recommend policies on system use and services.

             Experience with web host and domain registrar

             Designs, plans, builds, and integrates cloud computing and virtualization systems and solutions

             Performs other/additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

             Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook.

Qualifications

             Bachelors degree required; Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering preferred given for related technical experience.

             Minimum of four (4) years related experience is required; consideration given for related technical aptitude.

             MCSE Server Infrastructure certification preferred

             Prefer six (6) eight (8) years experience required evaluating, designing, and administering large, scalable enterprise systems, including
Disaster Recovery. At least three (3)- four (4) years experience in architecting and administering multiple environments (Dev through Prod) supporting systems development, preferred

             Must have basic knowledge Infrastructure technologies.

             Prefer Three (3) - four (4) years relevant experience in the OS platform to be supported; consideration given for demonstrated technical aptitude.

             Working knowledge of Configuration Management and Version Control concepts and tools, preferred

             Working knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle management preferred

             Ability to develop Process, Policy and Procedure documents in support of assigned platforms and applications, preferred

             Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide project support as needed.

             Must demonstrate problem-solving skills.

             Must be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task projects.

             Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

             Must demonstrate desire to learn.

             Must be self-guided and takes initiative as appropriate."

             Experience in using Azure DevOps for code merge, deployments highly preferred.

             Experience working production and non-production environment DevOps deployments using automation tools. TerraForm, Powershell, etc. highly preferred.

             Experience in Azure PaaS, IaaS highly preferred.

             Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
