(Seattle, WA or San Francisco/Mountain view, CA) Duration: 6+ Months Visa: No USC/H1b/CPT MOI: Skype Must Have: LinkedIn Is Must and Local DL is Must Please try to submit genuine visas candidates only Role Overview The OpenShift/Cloud Engineer will be accountable for engineering, support, automation, and thought leadership related to Platform-as-a-Service offerings. The role involves assisting with application migrations to Platform-as-a-Service platforms and supporting related technical activities. Required Skills and Experience Technical Qualifications 5+ combined years of experience administering Red Hat OpenShift on: o Virtual Machines o Bare Metal o ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS) Expertise in: o OpenShift Container Platform (v4.15 through latest stable version) o OpenShift Data Foundation / OpenShift Platform Plus o Ceph Administration o Cloud Administration (AWS, Azure, and/or IBM Cloud) o Linux Containers (Docker) o Kubernetes o Containerized applications/microservices architectures Programming and Application Knowledge: o Java o JBoss o nginx o Node.js o Enterprise application architectures Specific Competencies Application migration and refactoring to containerized workloads Configuration management/scripting technologies Automated deployment tools DevOps concepts, tools, and practices CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, or comparable) Networking protocols, firewalls, load balancers Soft Skills Analytical skills for multi-project environments Excellent communication of complex technical issues Ability to document, share knowledge, and train team members Strong written and oral communication Preferred Qualifications VMware technologies experience (vCenter, vRA, vRO) OpenShift bare metal deployment ROSA experience Azure expertise SSL certificate management Agile methodologies familiarity Continuous learning and awareness of industry standards Container and Pod monitoring experience (Dynatrace, QRadar) Team Culture Our team is characterized by: Fast-paced environment High energy and motivation Results-driven approach Solution-oriented mindset Challenging yet realistic goal-setting Belief in effort-driven outcomes Key Attributes We Seek Proactive problem-solving Continuous learning Team collaboration Technical excellence Adaptability Application Expectations Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and a dynamic approach to cloud engineering and DevOps practices.
