The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications using PowerBuilder, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of PowerBuilder programming, database management, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain PowerBuilder applications to meet business requirements. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues. Work with SQL databases, primarily Sybase or SQL Server, to create, modify, and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and queries. Collaborate with business analysts and end users to gather requirements and define functional specifications. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Integrate PowerBuilder applications with other systems and services. Develop and optimize reports, dashboards, and business logic components. Ensure code quality by following best practices for version control, unit testing, and code reviews. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing PowerBuilder applications. Stay up-to-date with the latest PowerBuilder features and technologies to ensure optimal solutions. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in PowerBuilder development. Strong experience with relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, or Oracle. Solid understanding of PowerBuilders object-oriented and procedural programming features. Experience with PowerBuilder 12.x or later versions. Strong SQL skills and experience with complex queries and stored procedures. Knowledge of front-end development using PowerBuilder and integration with web services and other external systems. Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
