Job Title: Business Systems Analyst Working Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ or Alpharetta, GA (Onsite) Project Duration: Contract As a Business Systems Analyst, you play a critical role in the software development process by owning the delivery of requirements. This involves leveraging specialist business analysis knowledge and providing product insights and context. Acting as the bridge between the business customer, product owner, and delivery team, you ensure requirements are identified, translated, and communicated effectively to drive system design, development, and testing. Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis & Documentation: Investigate, evaluate, and interpret business data using various techniques to meet business needs. Document current business processes, identify problems and opportunities, and re-engineer processes for improvement. Capture and translate requirements into detailed, high-quality specifications using business analysis techniques. Craft, contribute to, and maintain comprehensive business analysis documentation. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Product Owners to understand their vision and relay it into actionable requirements. Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to identify problems, root causes, and facilitate decision-making. Engage with clients in the banking and financial industries to understand and translate their requirements for the development team. Tailor communication style to suit various partners and audiences. Development Team Support: Actively contribute to scrum ceremonies and provide support to the development team throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in detailed research related to software functionality to align with client requirements. Incorporate approved improvements into specifications and maintain updated documentation. Requirements : Minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst. Proven ability to lead and mentor others in the BSA/BA role. Experience working with WINS solution stack (Windows Server, IIS, .NET, SQL Server). Hands-on experience with wireframe tools like Balsamiq. Familiarity with Agile development tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Jira. Experience writing analytical queries using T-SQL/SQL Server. Skills : Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Aptitude for self-organization and fostering team cohesion. Proficiency in capturing, visualizing, and communicating functional product solutions.
