Searching for a candidate with expertise in administering WebSphere Application Server and cloud system administration (including Azure, AWS, and Google). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a multi-tier and multi-platform enterprise class environments.

Minimum of

- 8+ Years in WebSphere administration

- 2+ years in cloud products administration

- 5+ Years with application security product administration

- 5+ Years Experience administering Integration platform.

- 5+ Years experience working with government agencies.

- 5+ Years of providing comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs.

- 3+ Years of providing guidance, consultation with IT management and technical staffs regarding the use of emerging technologies |

Preferred Education |

4-year college degree or equivalent technical study |

Job description (KSA):

Knowledge

Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows operating system and system administration tasks

Highly available vertical / horizontal scaling, disaster recovery capabilities

Single Sign On, network load balancer, firewall, IP subnets.

On-Prem monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace,

Cloud monitoring capabilities like Azure Monitor

CI/CD pipelines: Ansible, Jenkins, Nexis, Mavin, Bitbucket etc.)

Version control subsystem like: Git, Subversion, etc.

Storage subsystem

Salesforce

Knowledge of application development, implementation, and deployment experience.
Web services and data integration techniques, messaging and transformation.

Lead experience to create design documentation and participate in code reviews with application teams.

Strong troubleshooting experience to research production issues including cryptography(digital certificates), networking, IBM MQs, Databases.

Develop and troubleshoot message translation issues integrating with backends (JSON to SOAP/SOAP to JSON)

Experience with developing pass-through and transformative API extensions

Skills

Experience performing system and software audits.

Assesses and analyzes business requirements, current state environment and technology choices to evaluate security solution alternatives that meet solution architecture needs and support enterprise requirements.

Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills related to Cloud, IAM and privileged access management.

Experience supporting and participating in 24 X7 on-call weekly rotation.

Abilities

WebSphere

Perform upgrades, patches, and fix security issues.

Monitor application performance, systemperformance, troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement fixes.

Work closely with the development teams to designsolutions, deploy and maintain application.

Install, configure and deploy new WebSphereapplication servers on AIX and Linux

Write and deploy scripts, automate tasks.

Experience with one or more webserver setupApache, IBM Http Server and IIS

Experience working with SSL and applicationsecurity in WebSphere.

Troubleshoot, collaborate with cross-functionalteams to resolve complex technical issues.

Participate indefining corporate implementation and integration strategies of newtechnologies.

Experienceadministering integration platforms like Salesforce MuleSoft.

Technical Advisor

Experience collaborating and advising applicationdev teams to build API capability, covering aspects such as security and policymanagement.

Ability to understand systems and applicationcode to troubleshoot and provide guidance to app dev teams.

Experience providing consultation servicesworking with System administrators internal platform and middleware groups toprovide application software development services or technical support.

Provides comprehensive senior-level technicalconsulting to IT management and senior technical staffs.

Analyzes, defines, and documents requirementsfor data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating systemenvironment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks,controls, and outputs using standard development methodology.

Works with internal business groups onimplementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of variousapplications.

Guides and consults with IT management andtechnical staffs regarding use of emerging technologies and associatedservices.

Participates in defining corporateimplementation and integration strategies of new technologies.

Advocates for innovative, creative technologysolutions.

Design and develop automated stress testingharnesses, recommend, and implement solutions, conduct and participate in codereview sessions, and provide process improvements

Cloud Management

Work knowledge of cloud platforms Azure, AWS orGoogle Cloud.

Deploy and manage application in a cloud environment.

Work with cloud vendors and cloud hostingservice providers and recommend infrastructure solutions.

Experience deploying Containers, Microservices,Kubernetes, etc. both in on-prem and cloud.
