The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of test scripts for both manual and automated testing. This role involves preparing UAT test cases, aligning them with business requirements, conducting walkthroughs with stakeholders to ensure clarity, tracking test case execution, and reporting on progress. The candidate will use Jira for defect logging and tracking and will develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices. The position also requires working in an Agile environment, supporting the development team during development, testing, and UAT phases, and troubleshooting defects as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Please note that candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered at this time. 8 years of experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans. 8 years of experience with knowledge of software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process. 8 years of experience using Xray Test Case Management tool and Jira Project Management tool. 8 years of experience in SQL query writing for performing Create, Read, Update, Delete (CRUD) operations. 8 years of experience in writing and executing automated tests using UFT (Unified Functional Testing). 8 years of experience in conducting API Testing and automation using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER, or similar tools. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Experience working with State of Texas agencies and systems. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with development teams and stakeholders. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple test cycles simultaneously.
