Hands-on expertise with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner). Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles. Develop and optimize database architecture to meet application requirements. Create and maintain database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Analyze database performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring system reliability and availability. Conduct capacity planning and database scaling to support business growth. Data Management and Security: Implement and maintain data integrity, security, and privacy policies. Manage backups, recovery plans, and disaster recovery procedures. Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and IT teams to support application development and business intelligence initiatives. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database engineers. Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure best practices. Tools and Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts for database management tasks. Leverage database monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues proactively.
