Position Title: Sr. Software Engineer - .Net 6+ months Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote) Years of Experience: 9+ years applicable experience required Function of the Group: Develop software enhancements aligned with business objectives associated with generating revenue, enhancing operational efficiencies and mitigating risk. Initiatives/Projects: Supports custom applications (Angular front end, .Net back end) which handle document imaging and records management for retail lending line of business Industry background: Strong Financial background- should be in recent or 2nd project! Roles and Responsibilities: Daily stand up meeting Weekly planning sessions Working closely with the development team, that consists of scrum masters, business analysts, developers, automation test engineers, and business stakeholders Expected to have input into user stories Software development using Angular 15+ (front end) and .Net Core, 6, 8 (back end) Build and deploy in a CI/CD enterprise pipeline environment Unit test coverage Work with QE testers to provide input into their test plans Must Have Technical Skills:(Min of 6 years of experience in all below skills) Experience working with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate that into development - 6 years strategy and application design. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving ability - 6 years Back End: .Net Core/6/8, .Net framework, C#, advanced concepts (ie dependency injection) - 6 years Front End: Angular 15+, advanced concepts state management, library creation, rxjs, reactive forms, content projection, ElectronJS - 6 years Jenkins - 4 years DevOps (containers, CI/CD pipelines) - 4 years MicroService Architecture - 6 years REST API Development - 6 years Experience mentoring developers and driving development while managing your own development workload - 6 years Java/Javascript - 4 years Screening Questions: Describe a complex API or Service that you built using .Net and associated technologies. What did the service do How did you build it Did you drive the design If so, describe more about how you collaborated with business stakeholders and/or other developers to land on the approach and create the design. Describe a situation where you were responsible for leading / mentoring the work of other developers. Describe your experience with DevOps and MicroService Architecture. Summary: Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made. Job Responsibilities: Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems. Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage ones time. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
