Job Title: Sr. Product Manager AI/ML Group

Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12+ Months

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Vision & Strategy:

o Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy, aligning it with company objectives and customer needs.

o Collaborate with stakeholders (business, marketing, technical, and customers) to gather requirements and define the product roadmap.

o Continuously refine the product vision based on feedback from users, market trends, and evolving business goals.

2. Product Backlog Management:

o Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is clearly defined, prioritized, and communicated to the development team.

o Write clear and concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, ensuring they are understood by the development team.

o Prioritize backlog items based on business value, user feedback, and technical feasibility.

o Continuously refine and adjust the backlog based on changing business needs and feedback.

3. Sprint Planning & Execution:

o Actively participate in sprint planning meetings, working with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure that high-priority items are ready for development.

o Ensure that the team understands the business value of each story and that any ambiguities are clarified.

o Monitor the progress of sprints and ensure that the team is on track to meet sprint goals.

o Act as the first point of contact for the development team when they need clarification on requirements.

4. Stakeholder Management:

o Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring open communication and setting clear expectations.

o Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to provide updates on progress, gather feedback, and adjust the product strategy as needed.

o Balance stakeholder interests while ensuring that the product vision is maintained and that the development team stays focused on the highest-value work.

5. User Research & Feedback:

o Work with UX/UI teams to gather user insights and incorporate them into the product development process.

o Leverage data, market research, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.

o Regularly engage with end users to understand their pain points, needs, and preferences.

6. Agile Process Adherence:

o Ensure that Agile principles are followed within the team, and advocate for continuous improvement in the Agile process.

o Participate in retrospectives, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.

o Ensure that the development team is empowered to make decisions while maintaining alignment with the product goals.

7. Performance Monitoring:

o Track and measure product performance against business KPIs and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).

o Work with the development team to ensure that delivered features meet quality standards and provide the intended business value.

o Use data-driven insights to iterate on the product and continuously deliver enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Nice to Have: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO):

o Certification from a recognized body such as Scrum Alliance (CSPO) or Scrum.org (PSPO) is required.

o In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.

2. Product Management Experience:

o 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Management role, ideally in an Agile environment.

o Experience working with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, QA) to deliver high-quality products.

3. Backlog & Requirement Management:

o Strong experience in writing user stories, managing product backlogs, and setting priorities based on business value.

o Ability to translate business requirements into actionable tasks for the development team.

4. Communication & Collaboration:

o Excellent communication skills to convey the product vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Strong stakeholder management abilities to balance competing priorities and align everyone on the product goals.

o Skilled in conducting effective meetings, sprint planning sessions, and backlog grooming.

5. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

o Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on metrics and insights.

o Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in managing scope, expectations, and constraints in an Agile setting.

6. Adaptability & Flexibility:

o Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Ability to adapt the product strategy as new information and feedback become available.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience working with development teams using Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.

Experience in working with digital products, SaaS, or technology-driven companies.

Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or other Agile project management software.

Experience in conducting user research, A/B testing, or data-driven product iteration.
