| From: shrasti singh, vyzeinc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Senior File Transmission Engineer USC, GC only Need Local candidates only or be located within 100 miles of Harrisburg Hybrid in Harrisburg, PA QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum qualifications: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience and five plus years of relevant experience in a multiple system support environment. Solid understanding of SFTP Experience with file transmission software such as IBM Sterling Connect: Enterprise and/or Connect: Direct software. Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway Sterling B2B Integrator (A unique skill, but knowledge of this is beneficial) Understanding of how transactions are transmitted through wire protocol using TCP/IP. Advanced experience with TSO/ISPF (IBM Mainframe). Proficient experience in MS Office Suite. Proven ability to pay attention to detail. Advanced track record of managing multiple activities with varying priorities while ensuring accurate and timely results. Effective communication skills necessary to make yourself understood when speaking about complex technical subjects. This position 24X7X365 on-call. On-call requires carrying a cellphone and responding to calls within the agreed upon timeframe set within company's standards. Internet connectivity from home is required as part of the on-call rotation. Flexible for occasional off-site travel required. Lead the planning, development, customization, and maintenance of the transmissions system. Perform the most complex maintenance to existing workflows and setups of new workflows based on requirements received through the Data Transmission Request (DTR) system. Interface with other Information Technology (IT) groups to facilitate setup/maintenance of the most complex transmissions work flows through use of the Change Management System (CMS). This includes but not limited to firewall changes and network setups. Participate in design sessions with IT and business staff to assist with the design of workflows and creation of DTRs. Lead the enforcement of transmission data security. Perform daily verification tasks to ensure that all files have been successfully transmitted, as needed.Document findings. Address Tier 3 support requests and issues received through the Trouble Ticket system. Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise with the data transmissions workflows, getting to the root cause to facilitate solving the problems in a timely manner. Assign project tasks and areas of responsibility to project team members from basic to complex. Monitors quality and rate of technical progress. Manage highly complex projects, upgrades and provide detailed status updates. Partner with other IT personnel within the department units, functional users, and vendors to provide guidance, manage project implementation or users' support. Mentor less experienced File Transmissions Technicians.This may include assigning work, reviewing work for adherence to standards, and provide coaching guidance. Scopes, plans, and prioritizes multiple projects. Participate in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning and testing. May sit on/or participate in industry specific user groups/or committees. Comply with the Agency's enterprise security and privacy policies and departmental procedures. Other duties as assigned.
