Job Description: **This is a contract to hire remote position, but the candidate should be a resident of either of these states: PA, NJ, DE or MD. About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on SQL Architect to join our team. This critical role focuses on leading database architecture, data modeling, and integration efforts while mentoring a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical acumen, leadership, and healthcare industry expertise to support the organization's digital services and application integration goals. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize database solutions to support business and operational requirements. Develop and maintain robust data models and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of database systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to align database solutions with organizational goals and compliance requirements. Lead integration efforts across diverse systems and platforms, including healthcare technologies such as HealthEdge and EPIC. Oversee the development of ETL processes and data pipelines to streamline data flow and integrity. Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of data within enterprise systems. Manage, mentor, and guide a team of 6 developers, including SQL, SaaS, and Cloud developers. Promote collaboration and best practices, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and technical growth. Provide hands-on support and technical leadership to the development team. Utilize expertise in healthcare data and systems to deliver tailored solutions. Leverage experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and payer systems to address unique industry challenges. Drive compliance with healthcare regulations and ensure data security and integrity. Serve as the go-to resource for resolving complex database and integration issues. Analyze and address system bottlenecks to improve operational efficiency and system performance. Provide strategic insights and solutions for business-critical challenges. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on database architecture, integration, and healthcare systems. Strong hands-on experience in SQL development and optimization. Proven expertise in EPIC, HealthEdge, or similar healthcare platforms (preferred). Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL, database design, and ETL processes. Experience with cloud platform like Azure and SaaS solutions.
