Job Description attached below!PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Financial Analyst, Lead provides timely, relevant and accurate financial and operational performance data and analysis to all assigned functions. The Financial Analyst, Lead performs business, financial, and operational analysis to impact top-line and bottom-line results and to support Senior Leadership decision making. This position is responsible for supervising a Financial Analyst and updating monthly reports, tracking performance against projections, working with department heads to develop budgets and assist in the preparation, analysis and presentation of the weekly and monthly financial results to the Senior Leadership team. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned. Lead teammates in coordinating company reports including weekly and monthly financial results and presentations for the Senior Leadership team. Investigates and explains operational and financial variances to budget. Acts as key influencer on initiatives that improve profitability. Identifies, assesses and communicates issues affecting profitability. Provides advisory support to assigned departments on matters pertaining to budget, accounting, and related financial issues and procedures. Develops and maintains financial budget and forecasting models. Analyzes and interprets financial and statistical information submitted for trends, checking for reasonableness and accuracy. Provides analysis of revenue and expenses, financial modeling, financial forecasting, rate and volume analysis and profitability impact analysis. Leads, develops, and documents complex financial analysis projects. Develops and implements timely enhancements to accurately and efficiently model noted changes. Prepares fact-based presentations that can be understood by both financial and non- financial oriented executives that are timely, well-written, and well-grounded in the practical applications of financial theory. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years experience, preferably in Defense. Strong analytical and creative thinker with a high attention to detail Proven ability to overcome obstacles and get results.
