In addition, strong candidates will have expertise related to advanced network administration concepts (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.). The Network Engineer 4 is responsible for leading and coordinating activities to procure and install LiveScans statewide, to advise agencies as they define their LiveScan equipment and network requirements, to assist agencies to upgrade existing equipment, to create network connectivity between cloud-based LiveScan servers and agency LiveScans, to coordinate network connectivity and the configuration of state and agency systems to integrate these systems with cloud-based LiveScan servers, to coordinate activities with IT suppliers and state technical personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. The person selected for this position will work full-time onsite at North Chesterfield, VA. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, excluding state holidays.
