The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining front-end applications and back-end servers for our trading infrastructure, with a specific focus on Mortgage-Backed Securities. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users, including traders and risk managers, to deliver cutting-edge solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business users, including traders, controllers, and risk managers, to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Design and develop robust, high-performance C++ applications for real-time, multi-threaded environments. Create scalable DevOps solutions for system release management, quality assurance, and ongoing support. Quantify and manage existing system capacity while planning for future growth. Participate in an agile development process, contributing to all phases of the software lifecycle, from design to deployment. Engage in troubleshooting and problem resolution using a methodical, analytical approach. Actively contribute to the development of the firm s best-in-class electronic trading infrastructure. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on C++ software development experience. Prior experience in the Agency Mortgage industry is mandatory. Technical Skills: Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design patterns and techniques. Expertise in designing infrastructure software for real-time, multi-threaded systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex systems. Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including business users and other developers.
