Strong hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikSense, or similar platforms. Understanding of BI architecture, including data modeling, report creation, and performance tuning. Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data sources. Experience connecting BI tools to databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle. Knowledge of managing BI server infrastructure, including backups, monitoring, and upgrades. Experience with user management and access control. U nderstanding of data security, encryption, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Familiarity with role-based access control (RBAC) and auditing practices. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of cloud BI solutions like Azure Synapse, AWS QuickSight, or Google Looker. What You'll Do Manage and maintain the Business Intelligence (BI) platform to ensure uptime, reliability, and performance. Perform system configuration, upgrades, and patch management for BI tools. Monitor and optimize the performance of BI dashboards, reports, and underlying data sources. Administer user roles, permissions, and access to BI tools and data sources. Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies. Provide support for user onboarding and troubleshooting access issues. Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports. Ensure reports are aligned with business requirements and are optimized for performance. Provide guidance on best practices for report and dashboard design. Establish and maintain connections between BI tools and various data sources (e.g., databases, data lakes, APIs). Ensure seamless data flow and implement data refresh schedules. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Monitor BI platform performance, usage, and data refresh cycles. Troubleshoot issues with BI tools, including data connectivity, performance, and user access. Implement monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues proactively. Collaborate with data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to support their BI needs. Document platform configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Good to have: Experience with big data ecosystems like Hadoop, Hive, or HBase. Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Alteryx, or Talend. Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. Knowledge of cloud BI solutions like Azure Synapse, AWS QuickSight, or Google Looker. Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python, , or R for automation or advanced analytics. Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana. Hands-on experience with automating BI workflows and processes. Knowledge of advanced data visualization techniques and storytelling with data. Experience in predictive analytics or machine learning integration with BI tools. Relevant certifications such as Tableau Server Certified Associate, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, or similar.
