Position: Healthcare Project Manager, No H1B Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid) Duration: 24+ Months MOI: Phone and Video Description They are looking for an AWS Cloud Migration Project Manager that will be reporting to the MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) Director and part of the EOTSS (Executive Office of Technology Services & Security) Architecture team. You will serve as the Project Manager for MassHealths NewMMIS Cloud Migration efforts to AWS. The current MMIS system is owned by Gainwell (Old DXC). As the Project Manager for the EXTREMELY highly visible NewMMIS modernization strategic efforts to help MassHealths NewMMIS vision. They are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience of Cloud Migration work, specifically onto AWS from and on prem environment. You don't need to have Medicaid specific experience but healthcare experience is a must. This is a great team that we have worked with for years. Their Director is great to work for and does not let their projects fail because of how critical they are so you always receive the support needed! This project is the #1 initiative of EOHHS IT and the Governor will have a direct view into this project as the cloud has helped save the Commonwealth in times of crisis in the past (COVID Call Centers, Unemployment System). So they are making a cloud first approach to everything. The good thing is this role is a 9-5 role with a hybrid work flexibility with a good team that has been around for a long time. They value their contractors highly and treat them like a full time team member. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities Work with the MMIS Cloud project team (team) to define business and technical priorities to support the MMIS Cloud migration project from design, implementation, validation through to stabilization Facilitate the resolution of issues and escalate to project lead and or senior management Manage multiple projects in parallel under tight timelines Communicate effectively through verbal, in writing and in presentations Collaborate with the architect team and other team members to prepare system or environment documentation including but not limited to, data flow diagrams, flow charts, file layout, input/output documentation, and project narratives Contribute to and or lead project planning activities and manage the execution of large scale, high risk, strategic projects from pre-intake to implementation and closing Lead research initiatives to compile information about technical solutions Lead efforts to identify, log, track and mitigate issues and risks to completion Oversee development of MMIS policies through collaboration with business and technical teams to identify policy needs and creating drafts for leadership approval Coordinate with the Business Analyst(s), SQA, Development, and other teams and peer managers to ensure timely project delivery as well as stepping the team(s) through the project life cycle with the Cloud migration and post AWS migration. Institute appropriate controls to manage project scope through periodic reviews and/or evaluations Utilize project Change Control procedure Attend weekly status meetings Adhere to EOHHS project management methodology, policy, and procedures, as well as quality assurance standards Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Five (5) years IT project management experience Five (3) years cloud migration and cloud computing experience Two (2) years vendor management experience Two (2) years compliance and policy support experience Prior experience with Agile and Waterfall Methodologies Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong ability to independently analyze, document findings and recommend approach or solutions Strong ability to collaboratively work with technical and non-technical staff, as well as upper management Strong time management skills, and the ability to effectively delegate and multi-task Strong conflict management skills; and good decision-making and negotiation skills Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Prior experience in Health care domain is preferred Prior experience in government or with government agencies is preferred Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project) Education and Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate a plus Enterprise Req Skills aws, cloud, architecture, migration, Medicaid management information system, mmis, Medicaid Job Title AWS Cloud Migration Project Manager Top Skills Details 1. 5+ years of Project Management experience involving cloud migrations (3+ for AWS) 2.
