Job Description - Sr. Snowflake Database Administrator Job Type: Contract Pay: $60 per hour on w2 Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hartford, CT 06183 PLEASE NOTE: This is a 6 month contract to hire MUST BE ONSITE HYBRID IN HARTFORD, CT or ST PAUL, MN Snowflake Certification (SnowPro) needed for upper range pay rates What Will You Do Provide technical leadership and operational support for our Snowflake environment performing Snowflake Database Administratation (REQUIRED) Note: This is not a Snowflake Developer role! Collaborate with end users to resolve issues. Complete user requests and ServiceNow tasks in a timely manner. Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hour support. Prioritize work and manage projects within established budget objectives and customer priorities. Perform other duties as assigned. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and operation. Proficient in Snowflake SQL and understanding of its unique features. Solid understanding of Snowflake Database Admin features: Cloning, Data Sharing, Secure Views, caching, Warehouse sizes, and scaling. Experience with Snowflake data loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with Snowflake's security features and role-based access control. Knowledge of integrating Snowflake with various data sources and BI tools. Strong relational database and SQL skills. Thorough working knowledge of all tools and techniques required for area(s) of responsibility. Understanding of the business that the assigned projects are supporting. Business Knowledge & Partnership: Addresses business partner issues professionally and promptly. Proposes solutions that optimize project value. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Demonstrates strong analytical and diagnostic skills. Follows through on decisions to achieve intended results. Executes tasks to completion and optimizes resource use. Leadership: Maintains effective partnerships within the department and with business customers. Provides valuable input to management and influences peers and project staff inclusively. Planning and Project Management: Prioritizes key project tasks and maintains a clear sense of priorities. Anticipates and responds effectively to workload and resource changes Collaborates with management in the planning process.
