Please share your updated resumes to pgudi (at a rate)aclatinc (dot)com Sr. Staff - Applications Engineer - Photonics Visa: Any Experience: 5 to 8 years Location: San Jose & CA (USA) Areas of Responsibility: Deep understanding of laser, photonics, CMOS, and system-level concepts Drive pre & post-silicon customer engagements Establish a proactive customer support platform Lead the System Validation Strategy and New Product Introduction (NPI) Make Critical Decisions and Develop Test Software and Infrastructure Key Skills: Ethernet, PCIe, BERT, DCA, OSA, TDECQ, SRS, URS, Python, NPI, Design, Package Education: Master's and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience Industry experience in semiconductor laser & photonic devices, system test & applications support. Deep understanding of communication protocols and standards (Ethernet, PCIe, etc.) Comprehensive knowledge of Embedded software programming Experience with system and sub-system test equipment (BERT, DCA, OSA, etc.) and standard signal quality metrics (TDECQ, SRS, URS). Knowledge of high-speed SerDes and their system validation & optimization. Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Python and scripts Knowledge of optical transceiver packaging and integration challenges Develop comprehensive reference design systems & technology showcase demonstrations of optical IO chiplets for PCIe and Ethernet applications. Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish a robust framework for engineering support. Create and own comprehensive technical documentation including user guides, integration guides, and application notes. Define and implement comprehensive system-level validation methodologies that guarantee our products meet system-level product requirements. This includes developing test plans, defining success criteria, and selecting appropriate test equipment and methodologies. Collaborate with Design, Package, and Reliability Engineering to ensure a smooth and successful transition of products from development to mass production. Drive decisions around design trade-offs and specification adjustments, balancing performance, manufacturability, and time-to-market to ensure products are ready for customer deployment.
