Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of Oracle databases, working closely with IT and development teams to provide database support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements. Key Responsibilities: Database Installation and Configuration : Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases, including patch management. Performance Tuning : Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure systems run efficiently and meet SLAs. Backup and Recovery : Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans, including RMAN and Data Guard for high availability. Security Management : Implement database security, including user roles, permissions, and auditing to ensure data protection and compliance. Database Maintenance : Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as patching, updating indexes, and running diagnostics. Data Migration : Assist in the design and execution of database migration projects, data import/export, and schema changes. Capacity Planning : Plan for future storage requirements based on growth projections and performance needs. Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Use tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to monitor databases, diagnose issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks. Scripting and Automation : Develop and maintain scripts for automating repetitive DBA tasks and database monitoring. Collaboration : Work closely with development teams to support SQL queries, stored procedures, and application integration with databases. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, working with versions 11g, 12c, or newer. Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL. Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN. Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments for database administration tasks. Knowledge of database security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and storage management. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle Cloud or other cloud environments. Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or other high-performance hardware platforms. Certification such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP). Experience with NoSQL databases or hybrid database architectures. Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
