Job Overview: The Oracle Cloud Architect is responsible for the proactive and holistic design, deployment, and support of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and applications. This role requires optimizing project prioritization and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve desired business outcomes. The Oracle Cloud Architect will align technology solutions with business goals, objectives, and processes while ensuring that architectural governance and standards are met. This leadership position will support the development of technology solutions that drive business value and innovation. Scope of Activities: Lead the design and implementation of OCI infrastructure and cloud applications, ensuring they meet the strategic needs of the business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical solutions, aligning them with business capabilities, value-streams, and goals. Provide leadership in analyzing, designing, and supporting technology solutions that meet business needs while adhering to architectural standards and governance. Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services; provide support for incident management and disaster recovery procedures. Offer guidance and advice on emerging technologies and their application to new business models and processes. Support agile development teams by advising on opportunities, impact, and risks, while managing technical and architectural debt. Must Have Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, System Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Cloud development, including technical/infrastructure architecture, application development, database management, network management, and security. Proven experience implementing Oracle Cloud Fusion as a Cloud Architect. Strong understanding of strategic technology trends and how they can be applied to evolving business models. Experience in product management, agile principles, and development methodologies. Proven track record in developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps for cloud infrastructure and applications. Expertise in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in cloud environments. Skills: Expertise in cloud computing concepts and architectures, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Proficiency in cloud service deployment, management, and optimization. Strong understanding of security practices, compliance, and risk management. Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Knowledge of networking, storage, and database services in the cloud. Data-driven approach with expertise in Oracle Cloud architecture components such as integration, network, and security. Knowledgeable in system development life cycle methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, DevOps). Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL practices. Hands-on experience with modeling languages (UML, ArchiMate) for architectural design. Knowledge of IT standards, controls, and industry best practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Competencies: Organizational savvy, capable of navigating complex political environments with tact and diplomacy. Strong influencing and guiding skills, with the ability to support decision-making at all organizational levels.
