This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for the power and utility industry. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, optimization, and security. Key Responsibilities 1. Design and Develop SCADA Systems Analyze requirements to design, configure, and implement SCADA systems using PowerOn Reliance. Develop custom modules, libraries, and components for enhanced system functionality using C++. 2. PowerOn Reliance and C++ Proficiency Configure and customize SCADA applications, develop HMI screens, and create complex control algorithms. Extend the capabilities of PowerOn Reliance with C++ programming. 3. System Integration Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, and IEDs using C++ programming techniques. Develop and execute testing procedures for functionality and performance. 4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance Diagnose and resolve technical issues with PowerOn Reliance, C++, and SCADA systems. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching to ensure reliability. 5. Cybersecurity and Risk Assessment Implement robust security measures to safeguard SCADA systems against cyber threats. Conduct risk assessments and enhance security using secure C++ coding practices. 6. Documentation and Training Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and user manuals. Provide training to end-users for system operation and maintenance. 7. Project Management Collaborate with project managers to develop plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to meet objectives. Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant certifications are a plus. Experience: Proven expertise as a SCADA Engineer with PowerOn Reliance and C++ programming. Technical Skills: Proficiency i n SCADA concepts, protocols (DNP3, Modbus), and communication technologies. Configuration and programming of PowerOn Reliance applications and HMI development. Integration of SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, and IEDs. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and secure coding in C++. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Project management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
