API Architect (Remote) Location: Philadelphia or Wilmington(on-site) Duration: 6 months MOI: Skype Must Have: API Architect WSFS Bank is currently seeking anAPI/Microservice Architect to work on the banks delivery transformationinitiative. The API Architect will lead the design and developmentof complex system integrations using the Enterprise Integration Platform. TheAPI Architect will need to understand an array of unique Bank systems toeffectively build Enterprise integration solutions with reusable components. The API Architect will collaborate withbusiness analysts, cloud architects, infrastructure teams, software developers and information security teams to design efficient andreusable integration solutions and lead the definition of Bank standardintegration practices. The API Architect will be responsible for understandingthe banks source and target systems, designing and implementing integrationsolutions, participating in code review sessions, testing and deploying thosesolutions, debugging and resolving technical production issues, and supportingthe Enterprise Integration Platform. The API Architect will be responsible forauthoring detailed design documentation, architecture diagrams and systemflows. The Architect must be passionate about technology and industry trends tolearn new and current technologies and as such evaluate and recommend tools,technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality solutions. The work schedule is a full-time,40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm position, located at ouroffices in either Center City Philadelphia or our Operations Center in NorthWilmington, DE. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering or related technical field and/or equivalent amount of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of software design and application development utilizing Java technology stack. Prior banking/financial services experience highly preferred. Minimumof 5 years experience developing APIs, API Architecture, and API Gateways. Experiencecreating an internal, scalable, secure and reusable API platform is preferred. Experiencecreating API Governance models and API platform Center for Excellence ispreferred In-depth understanding of the entire software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, debugging and deployment. Experience designing and implementing complex, service-oriented architectures. Experience with the BIAN domain driven design model is nice to have. Demonstrated experience with databases, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, JSON formats, message queues, ETL, event brokers, and microservices. Experience deploying solutions into a secure environment is preferred. Hands-on experience using & managing code base on GIT. Experience with developing and deploying cloud-based solutions; Azure is preferred. Modern application bundling experience preferred. Experience working in anAgile environment. Preferred experiencewith Core Banking Services. Proven ability to successfully deliver high-quality, complex systems, independently as well as in a team environment. Strong analytical/problem solving skills. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Must possess strong time management and organizational skills to be able to successfully deliver multiple projects simultaneously within slated timeframes. Must possess strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to execute vision and strategy. Areas of focus duringinterview: Analyzeour current API landscape built using MuleSoft Provide clear recommendations on API design best practice and how to get themost reuse out of our services Helpsetup an API Gateway using open source tools and complete several proof ofconcept projects Takeownership of the API Platform as a whole and work with network teams,information security teams, data teams and business leaders to design reusableservices and recognize value at scale for the Enterprise Icannot emphasize the self-starter personality trait enough for this position Weare looking for someone to come in, assess current process/technology and helpus develop a plan to create, maintain, champion and recognize value of our APIPlatform.
