Title: Quality Assurance Engineer with Mortgage exp.

Location: Onsite at Coppell, TX or Fort Washington, PA

Duration: 6 Months

POSITION SUMMARY

Quality Assurance Engineer will participate in test planning to determine which test cases to automate and which ones to execute for each project/release. They will manage, day to day, the automation repository, and the CI environment ensuring the test scripts run without error in the target environment with support and direction from QA Management

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and maintenance of automation framework(s) to support API and UI based testing

Development of Test Plans

Participate in-Sprint automation of test cases

For each release, determine automation candidates based on developed selection criteria

Conversion of requirements, user stories, design documents, and/or existing manual test cases into a set of automated scripts, ensuring compliance with development methodology and framework

Development and maintenance of Sanity, Smoke, System, E2E and Regression Test types

Routine maintenance of existing test scripts (i.e. anticipate changes and update scripts accordingly)

Regular collection of metrics to understand and track the time and cost savings

Daily progress reports and escalates any testing or automation issues

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of leading a manual and automation test programs for large complex enterprise applications

3+ years' hands-on experience in the design, development, implementation, and the execution of automated test scripts

Expertise in Internet technologies, tools, and Internet environments

Experience in project management tools including such as: Azure DevOps or Jira

A Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, MIS or related technical discipline (or a combination of education and experience)

Must be able to plan, organize and direct automation activities to achieve maximum operational efficiency in meeting department and company, goals, and objectives

Experienced in developing test strategies and planning approaches for manual and automated testing

Ability to map requirements to test cases

Skilled at examination and analysis of typical business workflow scenarios

Ability to analyze complex applications and develop test cases

Ability to create and execute automated test scripts and report on test execution status

Ability to read use cases and evaluate business and technical requirements

Strong project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures

Detail-oriented, deliverable focused

Possesses an active, 'hands-on' style

Experienced in writing software defect reports

The ability to communicate on a technical as well as a non-technical level

The ability to understand applications from a technical and business perspective

Ability to make sound decisions based on business, technology, and QA guidelines

Preferred Experience and Capability

Experience/knowledge of the Mortgage Servicing and/or prior banking experience a plus

Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies

Experience building an automation program is preferred

Experience with working on applications built in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Understanding of SQL DB and ability to run SQL queries

Experience with CI/CD technologies, such as JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, BitBucket (or other Git server), and Jenkins
