Job Title: Senior Application Support/Developer Engineer Financial Services (they want experience in the capital markets, investment banks) Work Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite) Need Local candidates of Alpharetta, GA Work Days: 5 days a week in the office. Interview Process: 2 rounds of interviews via video, last round is required in-person, Contract extension is available / rolling contract Note from Vendor: This is a pure backend Java job for someone who works on Hands-on experience administering large-scale, high-availability systems and the tools to monitor performance and availability. The high preference is for a candidate already working for any investment bank or trading company like ICE (intercontinental exchange), New York Stock Exchange, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, UBS, Credit Suisse, NASDAQ, Fidelity, etc. 10+-15+ years as this is a difficult job that needs experience. JOB DESCRIPTION: Skill Set: Primary skills * Minimum 7-15 years of strong hands-on experience in Application Support/ Development for Financial Services business or direct Client/ Customer facing platforms. * Willingness to embrace Agile and DevOps/SRE concepts in Day-to-day work dynamically. * Strong hands-on experience with AppDev support, log analysis and Java and webservice. * SQL/Databases (MSSQL) : Understanding of tables, views, indexes, and store procedures, and the ability to understand them by reading their definitions. Familiarity with SQL constructs. * Solid analytical skills, problem/ risk identification and quick resolution recovery processes. * Ability to interface and cultivate passionate working relationships with technology teams, business analysts, and vendors * Have 5+years of experience in Supporting client facing suite of applications * Strong in Core Java/ J2ee/ Webservices - SOAP / REST, Understanding of Java Concurrency* Experience with Spring / DI frameworks, SQL / PL-SQL awareness * Strong experience towards Infrastructure availability support (Web/App Servers, Network devices, MQ's/ Databases etc..) * Strong automation skills using performance monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Netcool) experience is required. * Should be a fast learner of technologies in a quick paced environment. * Have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under high pressure situations for outage handling, management, or resolution and post follow-up routines. * Passionate to learn about new technologies, techniques and what it takes to be an integral member of this team with lead-by-example motivation. * Hands-on experience administering large-scale, high-availability systems and the tools to monitor performance and availability * Experience creating technical architecture/ process oriented QRC documentation * Excellent communication and writing skills specific to technical discussions across the management layers * Experience with incident "on call" and ability to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis along with weekend coverages as needed.
