Role: GIS Web developer Location: Remote (LA, California) Contract: 3-6 months MOI: skype Visa: NoH1 Note: Aveva/SCADA and CAD would be a must Job Description Evaluates, designs, installs, maintains, and enhances applications that are being deployed as part of Company's GIS applications. The position will perform hands-on GIS application design, programming, implementation, and support for GIS related projects and activities. Also, the position will at times perform complex hands-on integrated programming, data analysis, and application development. Is an advisor on alternatives and on implications of new or revised GISsoftware and applications. This position will require the use of ESRI desktop, web and mobile software & extensions to perform GIS analysis and create professional map documents for a wide spectrum of projects. Recommend optimal approaches to GIS application designs and application performance. Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others. Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Geographical Information System (GIS), related disciplines, or equivalent experience. Experience working in an electric and gas distribution/transmission business is highly desirable. 3 years .NET, C# development experience in a structured software development environment 3 years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS and SchneiderArcFM products and GIS mobile implementations is required. Experience with web platforms such as HTML5 and modern Java Script framework is desirable. Experience with other industry-standard technologies such as JSON, XML and Web services is desirable. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Be able to work with IT and business teams to troubleshoot complex application problems Familiar with ArcGIS infrastructure architecture and configuration Experience with ArcGIS version 10.2 or higher Specifically for this position, we are looking for a Web Software Developer with Aveva and SCADA experience (with PML).
