As a Platform Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our data platform, including Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and Purview. Responsibilities: * Platform Administration: * Manage and maintain Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and virtual networks. * Configure and administer Databricks workspaces, clusters, and notebooks. * Manage Snowflake accounts, databases, warehouses, and users. * Administer Purview data catalog and metadata management. * Performance Optimization: * Monitor platform performance and identify bottlenecks. * Optimize query performance in Databricks and Snowflake. * Tune system configurations for optimal resource utilization. * Security and Compliance: * Implement security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability scanning. * Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations. * Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents. * Backup and Recovery: * Implement robust backup and recovery procedures for the platform. * Test recovery plans to ensure business continuity. * User Management: * Manage user accounts and permissions. * Provide user support and troubleshooting. Qualifications: * 8+ years of experience in platform administration or similar roles. * Strong understanding of Azure cloud platform and its services. * Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Purview. * Proficiency in SQL and Python. * Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts. * Experience with scripting languages (Power, Bash). * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
