The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (or World) and a strong understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. The consultant will work closely with our internal teams to troubleshoot issues, recommend solutions, and ensure smooth data transactions between systems and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Identify and address technical issues with JD Edwards systems, particularly around EDI integrations and data transfers. System imization: Provide recommendations for process improvements to imize JD Edwards performance, especially in areas related to EDI processing, error handling, and data flow. EDI Integration: Analyze and support EDI integrations within JD Edwards, ensuring seamless communication between business systems and external partners (suppliers, customers, etc.). Technical Support & Documentation: Offer day-to-day technical support for JD Edwards and EDI issues, including debugging, root-cause analysis, and documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions. Collaboration & Consultation: Work closely with IT, business analysts, and external partners to ensure EDI transactions meet business requirements and are compliant with industry standards. Testing & Validation: Conduct testing and validation of JD Edwards system updates or EDI process changes to ensure accuracy and functionality. Qualifications: Proven experience with JD Edwards (EnterpriseOne or World) modules, with specific focus on EDI (preferably 5+ years). In-depth knowledge of EDI standards and protocols (e.g., EDIFACT, X12). Experience with JD Edwards EDI configurations, including maps, transaction sets, and interfaces. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to analyze business processes and provide system solutions and recommendations. Familiarity with the integration of JD Edwards with third-party applications and ERP systems. Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-focused. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). Desirable Skills: Experience with JD Edwards tools (e.g., OMW, Report Workbench). Knowledge of JD Edwards finance, supply chain, and procurement modules. EDI translator tools experience (e.g., Sterling Integrator, Gentran).
