The platform you will be looking after is used by multiple trading desks servicing a diverse set of clients and instruments. As part of the wider platform team, you will be working closely with developers along with technical, analysis and testing colleagues. Investigation and resolution of the work items at hand will require competent technical skills and a keen intellect. The business is a growth area, with current investments taking place in all of the technology, business and middle office areas. FUNCTIONAL TITLE- Support Analyst - NEED TRADING PLATFORM EXPERIENCE with FIX Protocol Location- New York/New Jersey Primary Responsibilities: Monitor application components. Global support and includes weekend availability to troubleshoot production related issues, Deployments, exchange upgrades and perform checkouts. Expertise in operating in Linux and windows environment with good command over any scripting language such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc. Knowledge of networking and storage concepts. Support Fidessa application for batch processing. Strong Knowledge of FIX protocol. Ability to work both independently and in groups in an energetic, diverse environment. Debugging the system and fixing the production related issues. Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) activities. Handles complex operational tasks and recommends process and technology changes. Expedient deployment of new systems. Capacity planning and support for increasing volumes and business growth. Escalate / follow-up on permanent fix for development related issues. Provide solutions for application automation. Manage communication of system and application outages to the end users whenever required. Resolve complex application and technical problems. Build, test and install software in Dev, QA, Prod/DR environment. Support complex efforts involving Analysis, Design, Development and testing of various application components Desired Experience/ Skills: Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics Previous career roles in Support Analyst Experience with Financial industry 3+ yrs. Expertise in operating windows and Linux environment with good command over any scripting language such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc. Basic knowledge of infrastructure concepts. Nice to understand Devops tools such Bamboo or Jenkins. Hands-on experience in support of a real-time trading environment. Knowledge of support applications that use high-performance messaging/middleware. Strong analytical, and verbal and written communication skills. Java, C#, C++ development skills set, nice plus. Knowledge of configuration Management systems such as Ansible. Personal Attributes Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly. Able to function multitasking and effectively as a member of a team. Proactive with respect to personal and technical development.
