The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements. As a functional expert, they will serve as the key liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Documentation (25%) o Interpret business needs and issues by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating user and technical requirements. o Assist in the creation of project plans and participate in requirement verification sessions. o Track and manage open issues while assisting in planning for resolution. User Acceptance Testing & Implementation Support (25%) o Ensure the success of user acceptance testing (UAT) by documenting, verifying, and assisting in release validation. o Identify and document gaps in requirements or system deficiencies and coordinate resolutions. o Provide training and guidance to application end users. Issue Identification & Troubleshooting (20%) o Identify, document, and troubleshoot system, software, and process issues. o Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and contribute to developing solutions and workarounds. Business Systems Analysis & Documentation (20%) o Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business systems and user needs. o Develop and/or contribute to key project deliverables for low-complexity projects. Project Monitoring & Risk Management (10%) o Monitor and report project status to mitigate risks and ensure timely deliverables. o Prioritize and manage new work requests while ensuring high-quality outputs. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree preferred Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a Healthcare Payor Business Analyst role Technical Skills: o Healthcare Industry experience (Payor) o MS Excel proficiency o 834 Industry Standard / EDI file feed layouts o UAT experience o Facets knowledge Preferred Skills: o Experience with Edifecs or Nasco Soft Skills: o Strong time management and organizational skills o Excellent written and verbal communication skills o Ability to coordinate and lead stakeholder meetings Additional Information Candidates must be from DC, MD, or VA Hybrid role requiring 1-2 in-person meetings per month in Reston, VA Strong preference for candidates with prior experience in large healthcare payor environments If you meet the qualifications and are looking for an exciting opportunity, apply today!
