Systems Architect The New York State Department of Public Service DURATION: 30 Months LOCATION: Albany, NY Onsite Technical Systems Architect for the Statewide Financial System. The candidates selected for these positions will work in the SFS Application Development bureau within the Technology Division. Qualifications Systems Architect- Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design. Expert- 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. 84 months of experience developing customizations, interfaces, and programs in a PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) environment utilizing People Tools (specifically Application Designer and SQR). Please specify FSCM Version with experience. Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and/or Campus Solutions does NOT qualify. 60 months of experience designing and implementing technical solutions to meet business/system needs and requirements in a PeopleSoft Financials FSCM 9.2 environment including experience with upgrading PeopleSoft images. Please specify upgrade experience including PeopleSoft image numbers. Experience with PeopleSoft Image 40 or higher is required. Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and/or Campus Solutions does NOT qualify. 60 months experience utilizing Stat and PeopleSoft Object Locking to implement software customizations migrating through development, test, and production environments. 60 months experience working with PeopleSoft Financials in a public sector environment that uses PeopleSoft Commitment Control functionality. Please clearly specify the public sector experience (State, Federal, or Local Government). Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and/or Campus Solutions does NOT qualify. Day-to-Day tasks Perform analysis within PeopleSoft application environment. Design software customizations and configurations in order to meet New York State requirements. Work with a team of designers and developers to implement complete, end to end solutions. Design and build system components to integrate with the PeopleSoft financials environment. Perform Unit Testing driven by written test plans. Participate in Integration Testing with functional testers.
