They ensure software quality by identifying and resolving defects early in the development cycle. This role involves working closely with developers, QA teams, and business analysts to create robust automation solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Java-based frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber). Design, implement, and execute automated test cases for web, mobile, and API testing. Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios and create test plans. Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Work with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub. Perform API testing using tools like RestAssured or Postman. Analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. Optimize and enhance test automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability. Stay updated with the latest automation testing trends and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong programming skills in Java (OOP concepts, exception handling, collections, etc.). Experience with test automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Appium (for mobile automation). Knowledge of API testing frameworks (e.g., RestAssured, Postman, SOAP UI). Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps. Understanding of BDD/TDD frameworks and writing test scenarios using Gherkin syntax. Experience with SQL and database testing. Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter (optional but preferred). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in working with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker & Kubernetes. Exposure to security testing tools and practices.
