Responsibilities -Ability to understand current network architecture and provide solutions for current challenges. -Design and assist with the implementation of network routing solutions to eliminate current application access constraints. -Possibly assist with the rollout of a new VPN solution for the agency. -Assist in troubleshooting of potential network issues. -Collaborate with team members to understand current network architecture and provide solutions to streamline network access across the agency, and including to other state agencies, as required. -Adhere to security best practices with respect to network architecture recommendations and changes. -Support implementation of network routing changes off-hours, as required. -Participate in troubleshooting activities to maintain network routing efficiency. Qualifications -8 years of Network Engineering experience, with a concentration in network routing. -CCIE and/or CCNP certification. -Demonstrable experience with routing protocols: BGP and OSPF. -Must be proficient in Azure Networking, including Express Route. -Must have familiarity with hub and spoke models and usage of Virtual WANs in Azure environments. -Must possess expert level troubleshooting skills. -Ability to create network diagrams. -Understanding of constraints associated with working in a production environment and being able to support off-hour change tickets. -Effective at managing competing priorities and can work independently with little or no supervision. -Excellent communication skills: verbal and written, along with excellent documentation skills.
