The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, J2EE, Angular, SQL, and Oracle, and will be familiar with Azure, OpenShift, and CICD pipeline implementation. This position will involve developing, enhancing, debugging, supporting, maintaining, and testing software applications to support critical business functions within the banking and financial services industry. Top 3 Requirements: 5+ years of Java Backend experience Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases Proficiency with Azure, OpenShift, and CICD pipelines Key Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, debug, support, and maintain software applications that meet business needs. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Lead projects and direct activities of teams involved in special initiatives or operations. Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate software application delivery. Contribute to the development of software design and documentation. Work with the business units and senior leadership to communicate requirements and deliver solutions. Apply Agile methodology throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to a constantly changing environment. Required Skills and Qualifications: 6+ years of application programming experience, with a focus on Java, J2EE, Angular, RESTful Web Services, SQL, and XML. Strong experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases. Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly Azure and OpenShift. Experience with CICD pipelines and automated software deployment. Banking/Financial industry experience is highly preferred. Must have excellent software design and documentation skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to effectively communicate across varied areas, including technology, business units, and senior leadership. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservices and containerization. Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD best practices. Knowledge of security best practices for backend applications. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
