Position- SQL DBA with Healthcare insurance domain Location :- Norfolk, VA (Onsite) Job Description: UST is looking for a SQL Server DBA to manage and optimize SQL server environments for one of the leading health insurers in US. The ideal candidate must possess in depth experience with SQL server database administration. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain and technical experts in the team. Responsibilities As a SQL DBA, you will Work with the application teams to design data models and implement them in test and production environments. Identify performance bottlenecks related to database processing and work with architects and application teams to improve performance. Install, configure and migrate SQL server databases and servers. Develop and run scripts to automate administration tasks. Perform database monitoring, error prevention and maintenance automation. Conduct capacity planning for small and large projects. Setup database environments for various testing purposes. Design and implement disaster recovery solutions. Support after-hours maintenance Support weekly on-call rotations Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision, must be a self-starter and lead aspects of project work as needed Requirements 7+ years experience with SQL server database administration, SSIS and SSRS Strong hands-on SQL expertise MSSQL 2016/2019/2022 WIN2016/2019/2022 Azure SQL MI, Azure SQL DB Power scripting/automation Must have experience on data modelling and database environment setup Experienced in MSSQL installations, upgrades and applying hotfixes Knowledge of performance monitoring tools such as Query Analyzer and performance tuning wizards Strong performance tuning and optimization, problem solving skills Good team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and proactive behavior Kumar Roushan | Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist Amaze Systems Inc.
