AWS Data Engineer/Cloud Data engineer Location: Morris Plains, NJ Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architecture Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solution design, cloud technologies, and modern application architectures. This role involves designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient solutions to meet our business needs. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of complex, scalable, and secure solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture standards and best practices. Cloud Experience: Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS and OpenShift. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security. Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends. Containers/Serverless: Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda or similar technologies. Ensure high availability and scalability of containerized and serverless applications. Rule/Workflow Engines: Integrate and manage rule engines and workflow automation tools. Design and implement business process automation solutions. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications. Data Technologies: Design and implement data solutions using Databricks, Data Lake, and Snowflake. Develop data pipelines and ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation. Ensure data quality, governance, and security. Streaming and CDC: Implement real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka. Design and manage Change Data Capture (CDC) processes. Ensure reliable and low-latency data streaming and processing. Microservices: Design and develop microservices-based architectures. Ensure proper service orchestration, communication, and data consistency. Implement best practices for microservices development and deployment. Databases: Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases. Optimize database performance, scalability, and security. Ensure data integrity and availability. Legacy Application Modernization: Lead the transformation and modernization of legacy applications. Implement strategies for migrating legacy systems to modern architectures. Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during the transformation process. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience in solution design and architecture. Proven expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, OpenShift). Strong knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures. Experience with rule engines and workflow automation tools. Proficiency in data technologies (Databricks, Data Lake, Snowflake). Hands-on experience with Kafka and CDC processes. In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture. Strong database management skills (relational and NoSQL). Experience in transforming and modernizing legacy applications. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Certification in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.). Experience with DevOps practices and tools. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
