Optimize ETL/ELT processes and ensure seamless data integration across cloud platforms. Develop data models, stored procedures, and performance tuning strategies for Snowflake. Implement Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Storage, and Azure SQL. Work closely with Optum teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Automate data ingestion and transformation processes using Python scripting. Ensure data security, governance, and compliance as per Optum and industry standards. Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and provide efficient resolutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field. Strong expertise in Snowflake (warehousing, performance tuning, and stored procedures). Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL, and Azure Storage. Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and scripting. Experience in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native tools. Understanding of data governance, security, and best practices in cloud environments. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Experience working with Optum or in a healthcare domain is a strong plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or Power BI. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows (e.g., Git, DevOps). Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
