This is a front office role Data Modeler with Relational Database and AWS Cloud experience. Location: NYC Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in data modeling for relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. Experience with AWS Cloud services like Redshift, S3, Glue, and RDS. Financial experience Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, Star/Snowflake schema, and data normalization/denormalization. Proficiency in ER modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Erwin, or similar). Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration. Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing relational databases. Familiarity with data governance and security best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NoSQL databases and big data technologies (e.g., DynamoDB, Athena, EMR). AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data processing. Experience in metadata management and data cataloging tools like AWS Glue Data Catalog. Polished candidates that can sit with the Investment banking team in midtown fulltime. SQL Server Developer with AWS Redshift & BI Experience 5 days a week on site Location: NYC Experience Level: Mid-Level Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 4+ years of experience with SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning). Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift and related AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, etc.). Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, AWS Glue, or similar). Proficiency in developing and optimizing complex SQL queries for large datasets. Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Amazon QuickSight. Understanding of data warehouse design and data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema). Knowledge of cloud security and best practices for data management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud data migration from SQL Server to AWS Redshift covered by a BI component Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation. Familiarity with big data tools like Athena, EMR, or Redshift Spectrum. AWS certification is a plus (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Data Analytics Specialty).
