Job Description - Senior Automotive Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex technical projects within the automotive industry , with a strong focus on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) implementations and system integrations . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive IT systems , project management, and stakeholder collaboration to drive successful delivery of technology-driven initiatives . Key Responsibilities: Lead automotive IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Manage and oversee EDI implementation, integration, and optimization between OEMs, suppliers, and logistics providers. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments for technical projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, supply chain, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution. Work closely with technical teams to define data integration strategies and ensure seamless communication between ERP, PLM, and other enterprise systems . Monitor project progress, resolve technical challenges, and ensure compliance with automotive industry standards (AIAG, ANSI X12, EDIFACT). Communicate project status, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders, executives, and IT leadership . Ensure best practices in system integration, cybersecurity, and data governance are followed. Drive continuous improvement in automotive IT processes , leveraging emerging technologies and industry trends. Facilitate change management and user adoption strategies for new EDI and data integration solutions . Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in technical project management, IT, or engineering within the automotive industry. Strong experience with EDI standards and implementation, including X12, EDIFACT, API-based integrations. Proven track record in managing IT projects related to automotive manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics. Experience working with ERP (SAP, Oracle, Infor), PLM, and enterprise system integrations. Familiarity with data integration platforms, middleware, and cloud-based solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, IBM Sterling). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities. Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Preferred Qualifications: PMP, CSM, or other project management certification . Experience with cloud integration solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory standards. Familiarity with IoT, telematics, and vehicle data exchange platforms.
