The ideal candidate will play a key role in the administration, configuration, and optimization of SAS environments, as well as managing data workflows in a Hadoop ecosystem. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency in SAS administration, data integration, and big data platforms. Key Responsibilities: SAS Environment Management: Administer, configure, and optimize SAS software on both Windows and Linux environments. Ensure system performance, security, and availability. ETL Process Management: Oversee and support ETL workflows to ensure efficient data movement and transformation. Optimize data pipelines for maximum performance. Hadoop Administration: Administer and maintain Hadoop ecosystem components (such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, and Spark) to ensure robust data processing capabilities. Integration of SAS with Hadoop: Manage integration of SAS systems with Hadoop-based platforms for scalable data processing, ensuring efficient data flow between systems. Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in both SAS systems and ETL/Hadoop data pipelines. Implement performance tuning and optimization best practices. Automation & Scripting: Automate routine tasks and processes in SAS and Hadoop environments using scripting languages (e.g., , Python, Bash). Data Governance & Security: Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of the data in both SAS and Hadoop environments by adhering to best practices and organizational policies. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for any issues related to SAS, ETL processes, and Hadoop systems. Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other IT teams to address business requirements and optimize data pipelines.
