The role also involves integrating Databricks into the migration process for data transformation and analytics. 2)seeking a highly experienced Database Developer with expertise in SQL Server Queries, Windows SQL Server Queries, PLSQL, and Performance Tuning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with SQL Server, Databricks, and Apache Spark jobs (PySpark). This role also includes a nice-to-have component of 20% DBA responsibilities and some exposure to Oracle Database. Key Responsibilities: Lead the migration of databases from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL. Optimize and refactor T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and scripts to PL/pgSQL. Design and implement cloud-based data solutions. Work closely with cloud engineers to facilitate a smooth migration. Utilize Databricks for data processing, ETL pipelines, and analytics. Ensure data integrity, performance tuning, and security compliance. Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues post-migration. Document best practices, guidelines, and migration strategies. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in database development and administration. Strong expertise in MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL. Hands-on experience with T-SQL and PL/pgSQL. Experience in cloud migration (AWS/Azure/GCP). Familiarity with Databricks (PySpark, SQL, or Scala). Proficiency in ETL development and data pipeline automation. Strong performance tuning and optimization skills. Knowledge of data security and compliance standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
