Job Description Senior Quality Engineer Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to oversee testing efforts within their Order Management System (OMS) Order Orchestration portfolio. This role is responsible for coordinating quality engineering activities, ensuring thorough testing across multiple applications, and supporting an upcoming transition from legacy systems to Blue Yonder. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Technology Quality Engineering and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive quality assurance in a complex, high-transaction environment. This role is fully remote. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end quality engineering efforts, covering test planning, execution, automation, and defect resolution. Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for Order Orchestration, Billing, Payment Systems, Sales Audit, and General Ledger applications. Build and enhance test automation frameworks, ensuring efficiency in regression testing. Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and developers to align test scripts with evolving system functionality. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by supporting data provisioning and guiding business users through test scenarios. Analyze defects, escalate issues as needed, and ensure comprehensive documentation within JIRA or other test management tools. Provide test estimates, maintain traceability of requirements, and prepare status reports for ongoing projects. Coordinate testing efforts with offshore teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and documentation updates. Execute SQL queries and validation routines to ensure accurate software functionality. Generate and maintain test execution reports, leveraging JIRA and other tools for tracking progress. Qualifications Experience in retail, OMS, and/or Order Orchestration is required. Hands-on experience with mainframe or AS/400 systems is essential. Familiarity with JDA/Blue Yonder or other OMS platforms is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of web services testing using REST APIs. Experience with CI/CD build automation tools and test management platforms like JIRA is desirable. Expertise in test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Java, and REST Assured. Solid understanding of database testing and query development. Ability to design and execute test strategies, end-to-end test scenarios, and automation scripts. Experience working with offshore teams, vendor partners, and implementation teams. Knowledge of BDD/TDD methodologies (Cucumber/Gherkin) is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with Agile, SDLC, and STLC methodologies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
