Title: OCI Database Administrator (DBA) Location: Houston TX Terms: Contract role Job Description : Deploy and configure Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) databases within OCI. Manage and maintain ATP environments to ensure high availability and performance. Monitor database performance and implement tuning adjustments to optimize query performance and resource utilization. Analyze database workloads and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. Implement database security best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and auditing. Ensure databases comply with industry standards and organizational policies. Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to secure data loss. Perform regular backups and conduct recovery tests to ensure data can be restored as needed. Utilize automation tools and scripts to streamline database management tasks. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for database provisioning and management. Set up monitoring solutions to track database health and performance metrics. Diagnose and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime and service disruption. Work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related needs. Provide technical support and guidance on database best practices and performance optimization.
