Job Description Job Role: MicroStrategy Engineer Location: Remote Visa: USC, GC only Must Haves Good experience on Creation of Custom Groups, Attributes, Consolidations, Facts, Filters, Attributes and Metrics, Prompts Good experience is MSTR performance tuning and advanced SQL scripting Demonstrated experience with MicroStrategy applications including dossiers, dashboards, data visualization, data discovery, mobile, data marts and cubes Demonstrated experience architecting the semantic layer and schema objects in MicroStrategy Demonstrated experience with MicroStrategy development tools including Architect, Desktop, Web, Mobile, Object Manager, Enterprise Manager, Command Manager, Integrity Manager Location-Remote or Pleasanton Please include with submission-Candidate Contact information and LinkedIn State Fund is looking for a MicroStrategy Engineer who will work with the team on existing MicroStrategy development projects and also provide support. This individual will work across business and IT project teams to develop new reports and dashboards. DELIVERABLES OR TASKS: Hands-on experience on MicroStrategy 2021 and above e.g. dossiers, documents, MSTR Schema creation, advanced reporting, platform analytics Building and developing reporting solutions on MicroStrategy BI End-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, especially in scorecards, reports, cubes, & dashboards Designing schema layer to get the required join types. Creating and loading cubes, report caches and maintaining distribution services Designing star schema data model for the warehouse. Developing Public Objects like reports, filters, prompts, metrics, templates, consolidations, custom groups, cubes, etc. Experience on admin functionalities of MSTR such as User creation, ACL, Movement of objects using Object manager, setting up of security filters, subscriptions Hands on experience on Installation and Deployment of MicroStrategy objects from Development to QA and Production environment. Development and Support experience on MicroStrategy BI Experience in customer-facing roles for requirements gathering and architecting solutions for BI projects Trains and mentors team members and business users. Good analytical, inter-personal & communication skills, and proactive attitude In-depth Knowledge in Data ware housing concepts, databases and advanced SQL. Experience in building custom Java/SDK solutions, consume web services, Xquery, jSON, subscriptions/schedules to interact with MicroStrategy reports/report service documents. Knowledge/Experience in enterprise portal integration, mobile integration The Senior MicroStrategy Developer will be responsible for building MicroStrategy applications that provide operational reporting, data visualizations and dashboards, and ad-hoc reporting. Must be proficient in building Dossiers within MicroStrategy. 7+ years of experience as a MicroStrategy Developer in an Oracle environment with experience with MicroStrategy Web, Developer, and Intelligence Server. 5+ years of architect level experience with creating and maintaining MicroStrategy schema and application objects including Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Tables, Metrics, Reports, Dossiers, Documents, Dashboards and Scorecards. 2+ years of experience using MicroStrategy management tools such as Object Manager, Command Manager, and Integrity Manager, Schema Creation, Public Object Creation, Expert knowledge of MicroStrategy security features such as ACLs, Roles, and Filters. Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL preferred. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Strong Experience in MicroStrategy schema definition, design, implementation ,maintenance, cubes, dossiers and Report development Very strong SQL skills Good understanding of SDLC. Design layout of reports and determine the best way to present data to end users. Experience Building dashboard and dossiers Strong Experience with query optimization strategies for building reports.
