From: Yaseen, Sydata Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Snowflake Admin - Austin, TX 78704 Snowflake Admin Austin, TX 78704 6-12 Months Position Summary: The Database Administrator will ensure that the Business Units computing environment, serving both internal employees and external customers, is built and maintained to provide a high level of availability. This persons main focus will be the support of the Cloud Data Platform. The candidate will work hands on and closely with several people in a very collaborative manner. Candidates should be proactive, motivated, organized, extremely flexible, and work well within fast-paced groups. This position will be part of the Snowflake platform support team and will be expected to learn basic knowledge of other applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain the Customer Data Platform (CDP) Monitoring health, tuning, and growth of such on premise and cloud databases Provides release management support for databases and related applications Ensures security and maintenance of databases Manage and monitor user access to the databases Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors Maintains schema and objects Create Documentation as required Database problem diagnostics and resolution 24x7 on-call support rotation Familiar with SDLC and Release Management Performs other duties as directed Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, or related field 2+ years of experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform 7+ years of experience in Snowflake, MS-SQL , Oracle or Teradata Database Administration required Demonstrated strong proficiency of T-SQL Experience with SQL replication and SQL Server Agent Experience with Data Warehouses and Data Marts Demonstrated proficiency of index design, query plan optimization and analysis required Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS alerting/monitoring tools Experience with AWS CLI and Networking Knowledge of Virtual Machines and SANs Willingness to learn new skills and new knowledge Experience in managing high transactional large databases Ability to work well both independently and with other team members Ability to multi-task required and provide rapid support in production Thanks & Regards: Yaseen Sr. US IT Recruiter Sydata Inc Email: [email protected] Cell: 858-786-1001 Ext: 223 6494 Weathers Place Suite#100 San Diego, California, 92121 Website: www.sydatainc.com Keywords: information technology |
