We also need to migrate our Okta users to be unified with customer which will also help with automations and create a unified employee experience. Objectives Help and lead transition users to customer domain. There are 250 users that do not have the customer domain. Develop and document the process for changing the users domain while ensuring no data is lost. Integrate remaining applications, 40 applications pending. Configure automation for applications. Develop documentation regarding application integrations and automations. Assist with automation of Okta and Service now access requests and entitlement reviews Assist with automation of time tracking tool updates from Okta profiles Role of IAM Engineer Develop and document the process for updating a user's Okta username and email and the connected applications without the user having any data missing such as Slack messages or email. Work with the IT team to migrate all users that dont have a customer domain. Work with application owners with migrating applications to use SSO and SCIM provisioning. Create automations for application provisioning. Create documentation regarding application integrations and communicate with other stakeholders such as the IT team regarding applications as they roll out. Projected Timeline The Okta BAU project is scheduled for the remainder of 2025. This engagement will help accelerate the goals we have for 2025 in the project by integrating the remainder of our applications with Okta which will improve the security of the organization. The resource will be dedicated to integrating applications and migrating users' Okta accounts to the customer domain. Expected Outcomes By the end of the six month period, we should have all accounts moved to the customer domain which will enable a unified employee experience and will simplify automations within Okta. This will require a lot of work as we will need to ensure that we preserve the users current data such as Google email and Slack messages. We will also be able to migrate most or all of our remaining applications to use Okta.
